On Monday, April 15, Haywood Middle School geared up to help parents and students focus on and get ready for the TCAP tests. Parents and students visited teacher pods to participate in interactive games, academic competitions, and learn strategies to review and be successful on the TCAP tests. Afterwards, parents and students enjoyed pizza, cookies, and drinks as they discussed the activities they participated in during the evening. GEAR UP Site Coordinator Jackie Whitten met with parents who were eager to know more about the GEAR UP program and how GEAR UP could help students prepare to be successful on the TCAP, and in middle school, high school, and college or trade school.
