Anderson gets Smart Boards
Research has shown that technology enhances education for 21st century instruction. Anderson Early Child Center supports this. Five kindergarten teachers were awarded Smartboards this semester. Elizabeth Becraft, Chrissy Carl, Nicole Henderson, Jessie Warren, and Jennifer White wrote proposals on how technology can raise student achievement and were selected by a team of their peers. Anderson performed fundraisers to raise money to purchase the Smartboards and the Board of Education offered support, too.
Also, the Special Education Department has added three Smartboards to support instruction, using technology. Connie Allen, Wendy Hopper, and Adrain Christopher are the recipients.
