Black History Program a success
East Side’s Black History Program on Friday, February 22, highlighted a variety of different music, from Old Negro Spirituals to Ragtime to Contemporary! Mr. Dominique Bond and some of his students performed.
A poem was read that gave us a glimpse of what life would be like if there were no black people! African-Americans invented many of our daily household items/necessities. “Way to go, Wildcats! The program was beautiful,” said Assistant Principal Nicole Johnson. “We send special thanks to the program directors, Daphne Maclin and Deanna Cook!” |
