HES Career Day 2012 another success

Career Day at Haywood Elementary was a great time On October 12 despite the rain.  We had many, many vendors and participants. The students were able to spend about an hour with the visitors. The rain came, but many of the participants came inside and went class-to-class to discuss their jobs with the students.

We had approximately 26 participants: Chamber of Commerce, Insouth Bank, Southwest Electric, Jackson Generals, Brownsville Fire Department, HHS HOSA, Haywood County Ambulance Authority, Eddie Martin – Horses, First State Bank, YMCA, Lasco, Brownsville Utility Department, Boys and Girls Club, Girl Scouts of America, Children and Family Services, Brownsville Police Department, HHS AFJROTC, HHS Culinary students, HHS FFA – John Joyner and Garry Butler, WHHS News from Haywood High, Walmart – Mrs. Donna Russell-Myers, Haywood County Sheriff’s Department, Haywood Company, Earl’s Wrecker Service from Stanton, TDOT, and Regions Bank.
The Life Flight helicopter and several others were supposed to come but couldn’t because of the weather.

We appreciate the participation of all who came and talked to the students.
