HES Holds Annual Career Day October 18
Haywood Elementary had a gorgeous day for the School’s 2013 Career Day. The day started around 9 a.m. and concluded around 1:30 p.m. We had the following participants for our 2013 Career Day: Southwest Electric, Brownsville Fire Department, HHS HOSA, Haywood County Ambulance Authority, Eddie Martin – Horses, YMCA, Lasco, Insouth Bank, Brownsville Utility Department, Girl Scouts of America, HHS Children and Family Services, Brownsville Police Department, HHS AFJROTC, HHS Culinary students, HHS FFA – John Joyner and Garry Butler, Haywood Company, Dynametal, Delta Heritage Center, Elma Ross Public Library, Tennessee Tractor, and Regions Bank. There were around seven others that were scheduled to attend but due to a conflict in schedule or illness, they were unable to attend.
The children had a great time visiting and learning about different occupations and careers. Many of the students dressed up as what they want to be when they grow up.
“Haywood Elementary would like to thank all the participants for their time and efforts in making our day successful, and we hope to see them again next year,” said Haywood Elementary Librarian Dawn Lovelace.
