HHS Athletes Eat Healthy Food
Haywood High athletes recently assembled to endorse healthy eating as a way of achieving excellent athletic output. Coordinated School Health, with donations from Food Giant, brought fruits and vegetables for each athlete to hold for their individual pictures, which will be made into posters and hung in the cafeterias of each school. The group picture will be used for the billboard as a way of promoting healthy eating. Believe it or not, each athlete liked the food that they were photographed with. What a great way for the younger kids to get an endorsement for eating more fruits and vegetables … from somebody famous at our own high school! Thanks, athletes!
Participating in the campaign are (kneeling) Alaysia Applewhite – Track, and Taliyah Benton – Cross Country, (back row from left) Kylah Johnson – Basketball Cheerleader, Mattie Ford – Soccer, Angel Goodrich – Volleyball, Sadie Sharpe – Tennis, Denarius Toliver – Track and Field, Josh Coburn – Baseball, Morgan Hendrix – Softball, Jalin Turner – Football, Jamirah Shutes – Basketball, Taylor Ann King – Football Cheerleader, Colton Lily – Baseball, and Jatavius McGuire- Basketball.
