HHS JROTC announces Drill Camp
The Haywood High School Junior ROTC program, instructed by Lt Col Davis, Major Dailey, and MSgt Parker, will hold its third annual Drill Camp in the high school gymnasium July 23 to July 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The camp is designed to teach new cadets marching skills, teamwork, leadership, and the Air Force Core Values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in ALL We Do!
At the end of the week each new cadet will receive an Air Force uniform and be eligible for his or her first Cadet Rank. Returning cadets will learn how to lead a flight and call commands in preparation for classroom leadership positions and drill competitions. All new ninth graders who signed up for JROTC this year and any returning cadets are highly encouraged to attend.
For any questions concerning the camp or the JROTC program, please contact MSgt Parker at 731-326-0442.
