Families gathered at Haywood High School Monday, March 17, to an Open House and PEP Rally. HHS Principal Jerry Pyron talked to parents and families about what’s going on at HHS academically, and Guidance Counselor Paula Edwards talked to the crowd about scheduling next year. Then HMS Principal Yvette Blue spoke to everyone about Haywood Middle School and the efforts they are making there to improve student learning. The real delight for the crowd was the entertainment – the East Side Intermediate School Music Club members who performed two numbers, including Katy Perry’s “Roar.” After the meeting, everyone enjoyed refreshments and was invited to tour the new renovations at the high school.
