HHS students hold Cultural Day
With the funds from a mini-grant from Haywood County Schools, students of HHS Band teacher Dumanic Wade and art teacher Jennifer Friedman collaborated on a Cultural Day on Friday, April 19. Students researched and set up display tables with food, art, and music from the United States, Ireland, and Mexico. The purpose of this project was to broaden the students’ horizons and gain an appreciation of other cultures. In the future, Ms. Wade and Mrs. Friedman intend to expand the project to include other cultures and volunteers from the community.
