HHS students learn from job shadowing
Jackson General Hospital offers a job shadowing program for students interested in a career in healthcare. Job shadowing is a firsthand look at the daily experiences of health-care professionals. Jackson General Hospital required the students to complete applications, view a confidentiality video and pass the post-test. Once approved, the students were able to contact mentors from approved departments and schedule their job shadow. Haywood High School students who took advantage of the program are Allix Lonon, Erin Dennis, Maggie Herron, Katie Lewis, Diamond Jackson, and Catrecia Bell. Their teacher is Julie Taylor.
