The Haywood Middle School Junior Varsity Baseball team, sixth and seventh graders, went UNDEFEATED in its 2014 season. JV team members include: Sam Banks, Bryce Faulkner, Brent Haywood, Jadarius Hines, Zion Houston, Calen Johnson, J. T. Lea, Bond Lonon, Ben Naylor, Andrew Reed, Decourtney Reed, Andre Robertson, Keshawn Shepherd, Andrew Stanley, Hutch Voss, Tucker Worrell, Charles Phillips, and William Young.

 

In their final game of the season, the HMS Warriors JV baseball team completed its perfect season with a 9-0 win over Covington. The Warriors struck early, rattling off six base hits in a row in the first inning, and things didn’t get much better for the Covington Chargers. HMS was also perfect on defense. Andrew Stanley was 3 for 3 at the plate, including a switch-hit single. Other leading hitters were Sam Banks, J. T. Lea, Jadarius Hines, Bond Lonon and Keshaun Shepherd. Bryce Faulker was the winning pitcher, giving up one hit and pitching 5 strikeouts. Faulkner claimed all pitching victories for the Warriors’ team which had 7 wins and NO losses in 2014!
