HMS students learn about Stirling engines
Mr. Bontrager’s enrichment class at Haywood Middle School is studying Stirling Engines. As a culminating activity to what the students have read and viewed, each group had to construct a Stirling engine, and the engine must be operable. On October 16, two groups were ready to present their engines. Although the groups did not get the “rotation” they planned for, they are still hopeful! The budding scientists headed back into the “lab” to make necessary adjustments to the engines.
