HMS students learn science through microscopes
Mrs. Phillips’ sixth-grade science classes compared and contrasted pond water with salt (ocean) water using microscopes. Many of them learned how to create a wet-mount slide and some even looked at a strand of their hair through the microscopes. Using a Venn diagram, each student sketched a food web containing organisms that they saw.
