Massai Twitty wins “Poetry Out Loud”
The Brownsville-Haywood County Arts Council recently sponsored a “Poetry Out Loud” contest at Haywood High School. HHS Principal Latonya Jackson joined the winners, 1st place winner Massai Twitty, 2nd place winner Destiny Medina, 3rd place winner Breonica Reed, and 4th place winner Tyesha Starks. Maasai will advance to the state competition the first week in March. The winners received $100, $75, $50, and $25 awards.

Maasai will advance to the state competition the first week in March. The event was sponsored by Brownsville-Haywood County Arts Council. The winners were awarded $100, $75, $50 and $25.
