Order in the Court!
Kindergarten students in Miss Elizabeth Becraft’s class learned about our court system last week when they visited the courthouse. Mr. Steve Smith conducted the tour of the courthouse, including the offices and what the staff in each office “does” in our county’s government. The students rode the elevator to the second floor to see and learn about the courtroom, judge’s bench, and jury box. They recently learned about elevators in their school-side storybook, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” It wouldn’t surprise me if we had a whole bunch of future “Perry Masons” in these pictures!
