Saving students, growing leaders

Sixteen high school students were present at the March school board meeting to talk about their trip to Nashville to the Education Equal Opportunity Group (EEOG) Save-A-Student Leadership and Development Conference in late February. According to founders, EEOG is a college and career preparatory program for underserved high school students that encourages them to become public servants and effective leaders. EEOG’s goal is to develop students’ academic skills, behaviors and attitudes to promote academic success.
