Students benefit from speech and language therapy
One area of our school system that is always busy and seldom recognized is speech/language therapy. Anderson has a lot of students who receive speech/language therapy and the numbers decrease as they grown older and correct their speech/language delays. Miss Tanya Baltimore, lead speech therapist for Haywood County, and her assistant Ms. Hollie Watkins, provide speech and language therapy at Anderson. They work with children who have
speech disorders, speech delays, language disorders, Autism, hearing impairments, voice impairments, swallowing disorders, eating disorders, multiple disabilities, socialization (communication) disorders, and anything else that has to do with communication. They are always busy! Here are a few photos of some of the things they do.
