Students complete School Climate Survey
Students at HHS recently completed an on-line school climate survey for the State of Tennessee Department of Education. Haywood County Schools is part of a pilot project in our state to provide measurable data that will be used to make our schools a safe place to get an education.
Measuring school climate is a data driven strategy that recognizes the social, emotional and intellectual aspects of student learning. Measuring school climate is also an effective strategy that engages students, parents/guardians, school personnel and community leaders to work together to create safe, supportive, engaging schools. The data from the School Climate Measurement System will help schools to understand the issues their communities face and the conditions that may influence student risk behaviors to best formulate intervention and prevention strategies.
