Third-grade students had a lot of fun while learning very important information about lots of different area of safety. The UT Extension office out of Memphis held its third International Progressive Agricultural Safety Day at Haywood Elementary School. Third-grade students visited stations to learn about sun safety, chemical look-alikes, first aid, bicycle safety, food safety, and disability awareness. Each station had very age-appropriate activities to make information on each topic useful to them and very easy to remember. Guest presenters assisting were Hannah Roberts, the Health Department, and Coordinated School Health. It was a great day!
