As the shiny freshness of back to school wears off, students and parents know it’s time to get down to the real business of it all. 

Tomcat Study Cafe’ is a program set into place to help guide families to those A’s that effective study habits bring.  Parents and family members are invited and encouraged to be an important part of their child’s classroom learning experience.  

November’s Study Cafe’ focused on Science and Social Studies.  Guests were encourage to look around the room and visit with instructors and other families.  Students got the opportunity  to share their work while parents got their own opportunity to sit in on lessons.  They got a first hand experience of how things are taught and what their child may need help with at home.  Learning the teaching techniques of the classroom can then be taken home for a better learning experience.

Tomcat Study Cafe’ is ultimately a effort for teachers and families to work together, on the same page.
