Haywood County Schools, Department of Nutrition is seeking bids for Cafeteria Equipment for Sunny Hill Intermediate School. The equipment includes a gas tilting skillet, a mobile heated holding and proofing cabinet and a serving line. According to State law TCA 49-6-5005, schools are to provide parents and guardians with information about meningococcal disease and the effectiveness of vaccination against meningococcal disease. Per the CDC Vaccine Information Statement, Meningococcal disease is a serious bacterial illness and is the leading cause of bacterial meningitis in children 2 through 18 years old in the United States. The good news is that a vaccine is available.

According to State law TCA 49-6-5005, schools are to provide parents and guardians with information about Seasonal Flu Vaccination and Preventable Disease. Per the CDC Vaccine Information Statement, Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and can lead to hospitalization and death. Every year in the United States, millions of people are sickened, hundreds of thousands are hospitalized and thousands or tens of thousands of people die from the flu.
