Mrs. Lovelace’s current assignment is first grade. She has been at Haywood Elementary in this position for eight years. Mrs. Lovelace has served in many leadership capacities, including presenting professional development at the Martin Institute and mentoring new teachers. She has served as an officer in the Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers’ Sorority and is currently a sponsor for the Tomcats Football Cheer team. A true data collector, she uses the information to direct her instruction to each student’s needs. Project-based learning, Accountable Talk, and differentiated assessments are strategies which help her students show success each year. Mrs. Lovelace is a Level 5 teacher.
