Principal Don Sims and Assistant Principal Jackie Whitten at Sunny Hill School challenged students and staff to have a 20 percent increase in the Discovery Education formative assessment scores, and they exceeded the challenge! The challenge was by grade; both grades made it, so Ms. Whitten picked one fifth and one sixth grader to give Principal Don Sims a pie in the face on a Friday during the school’s community morning meeting. “I was more than happy to lose the challenge!” Mr. Sims said.
